Just finished the first book of the trilogy by Stieg Larsson. I thought it was as good as everyone has told me.
Mickael Blomkvist is in a lot of trouble. He has published an article in his magazine that has been found libelist in nature. He has to step down from his position and spend 3 months in gaol (prison).
He is approached by a man who has a job for him to do - find out which of his relatives murdered his niece in 1966. In return would be information to take down Hans-Erik Wennerstrom, the subject of the article that got him a prison sentence.
As he digs into the lives of the Vanger family, he uncovers new information about the case of the missing Harriet Vanger. He gets help from Lisbeth Salander, a young hacker who has a long, strange past herself.
It's a wonderful book and I can't wait to read the next one, The Girl Who Played With Fire.

And for my next book.....
...I will be reading, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson.
I have heard wonderful things about this book. Thank you to my coworker, Bill, who keeps talking to me about it!
This book has "murder mystery, family saga, love story, and financial intrigue" all wrapped together. Can't wait to dig into it!

Troubled Waters
I finished Dean Hughes' second book in the Hearts of the Children series last night. These are wonderful books that are full of historical knowledge and wonderful story lines.
Gene, Diane, Hans, and Kathy are growing up and learning where they fit in the world. They have each gone in different directions than they thought they would. Two are about to get married and one is thinking of leaving the LDS church. They all have very important decisions to make that could potentially change their lives forever.
Will Gene go to Vietnam? Will Diane marry Greg or wait for Kent? Will Kathy regain her testimony of the gospel and find her way back to church? Will Hans survive prison? I will have to read the next book, How Many Roads?, to find out!

Book #....... something.......
Next up is the second book of the Hearts of the Children series, Troubled Waters. I am really enjoying these books.
With Gene in Germany on his mission, I keep wondering if he will run into his cousin, Hans Stoltz. I guess I will find out soon enough. This one will probably take me about a week or so to finish, so you may not hear from me.
I still plan on finishing Emma. I'm just putting it off until after this book. I think part of the problem is that I am reading it on my phone instead of an actual book.

Promise Me
Good book! Fast read. I wasn't prepared at first for how this one turns out.
Beth is a young mother who loses her husband and has a daughter who is sick. Doctors can't figure out what is wrong with the girl until another man comes into their lives. Mr. Matthew is everything a woman could want in a man... or is he? Who is he? Is he there just to hurt Beth, or did he come to help?
As a side note: I find it funny that the last names are Cardall and Breinholt! Two of my favorite musicians/singers.

Taking a Break....
From Emma, that is!
I am still struggling with 'Emma', so I decided I would read another book I picked up recently. It is 'The Mark' by M.R. Bunderson. This is her first novel and hopefully not her last.
I really enjoyed this one. It is part sci-fi, part mystery, and part romance all wrapped up together in a fun package. It is a story of how 4 teenagers come together and find out who they are with the help of a fifth teenager. They encounter danger, animosity and love throughout the book. Who are they? Where did they come from? Why are they different from everyone else? How did they get their abilities? Read the book to find out! You won't regret it!
