Next book has been chosen....

I am reading The Girl Who Played with Fire by Stieg Larsson. This is the 2nd book in the trilogy. It pretty much picks up where the first left off.

From the back of the book:
Crusading publisher Mikael Blomkvist has decided to run an explosive expose of a wide-ranging sex trafficking operation. Just before the piece is published, two people are brutally murdered. The fingerprints on the murder weapon belong to his friend, the troubled hacker genius Lisbeth Salander. Blomkvist, convinced of Salander's innocence, plunges into an investigation. Meanwhile, Lisbeth herself is drawn into a murderous game of cat and mouse, and is forced to face her dark past.

Black Heels to Tractor Wheels

Pioneer Woman and Marlboro Man have an amazing love story! I enjoyed every bit of this book. I had read part of it online before, but not the whole story. So I was in for some surprises. This is probably the most romantic story I have ever read.

If you haven't been to Ree's website, you should check it out. It has everything I love on it. Photography, cooking, gardening (okay, so not a gardner, but for those of you who are, check it out), giant giveaways, and some silliness too!

Book #10......

I absolutely love The Pioneer Woman, Ree Drummond. I have been following her website for a few years now. One of my favorite parts of her site is her love story with Marlboro Man, her handsome husband. When she announced the release date of her book, I was so excited! So now, for my 10th book, I am reading their story from the very beginning. Black Heels to Tractor Wheels is going to be a fun read!!!

How Many Roads?

Just finished this book. The third in the Hearts of the Children series by Dean Hughes. The Vietnam war is in full swing and Gene has finally been drafted. He also got married to Emily and they have a baby.

Diane and Greg also got married and moved to Seattle. But as their marriage progresses, Diane has some serious questions if she did the right thing.

Kathy has finished school and joined the Peace Corps. She is stationed in the Philipines and asks herself if she has done the right thing and can make a difference there.

Hans has been in prison for a while. He is questioned over and over about the attempted escape of his friend and others. He is offered a chance to go to the USA instead of staying in prison, but chose to listen to the voice in his mind and stay in the GDR.

I am absolutely loving these books and look forward to the next one!

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

Just finished the first book of the trilogy by Stieg Larsson. I thought it was as good as everyone has told me.

Mickael Blomkvist is in a lot of trouble. He has published an article in his magazine that has been found libelist in nature. He has to step down from his position and spend 3 months in gaol (prison).

He is approached by a man who has a job for him to do - find out which of his relatives murdered his niece in 1966. In return would be information to take down Hans-Erik Wennerstrom, the subject of the article that got him a prison sentence.

As he digs into the lives of the Vanger family, he uncovers new information about the case of the missing Harriet Vanger. He gets help from Lisbeth Salander, a young hacker who has a long, strange past herself.

It's a wonderful book and I can't wait to read the next one, The Girl Who Played With Fire.
